Maestro Seiji Ozawa Historic Archive

The collection of items from the estate of Seiji Ozawa is impressive, including recordings, his podium, a conductor’s wand marked “Saito Kinen Orchestra Carnegie Hall- The Essex House A Classic Combination. September 24,1991.” Seiji Ozawa was an internationally renowned Japanese conductor, known for his wild hair and penchant for hippie beads. Ozawa conducted for the Boston Symphony Orchestra from 1973 to 2002, stealing the hearts of many music lovers. For horror fans, there is also a remarkable collection of signed and first edition Stephen King novels and box sets including the complete collection of The Dark Tower series comprised of signed, signed special edition, and first edition books. There is also a signed special edition of his iconic novel Christine, and a first edition of The Shining to keep an eye out for. Stephen King is one of, if not the most prolific horror author. He began his career in 1967 when he sold his first short story “The Glass Floor” to Startling Mystery Stories, however, it wasn’t until 1974 with his debut novel “Carrie” in which King started to gain notoriety. Whether its finely crafted furniture, stunning glass works, a piece of a legendary conductor, or a novel signed by s famous horror writer, this auction has a little something for everyone.
